Welcome to WonderTails. By using our website and application at wondertails.app ("the Service"), you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who Can Use WonderTails

WonderTails creates personalized bedtime stories for children ages 3–11. The Service is intended to be used by parents or legal guardians on behalf of their children.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of any child for whom you create stories.

2. Parental Consent

In compliance with COPPA, we require verifiable parental consent before collecting any information related to a child. You may revoke this consent at any time through the Parent Dashboard, which will result in deletion of all associated child data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

3. Subscriptions and Pricing

Free Tier

All users receive 2 free stories per week. No payment information is required.

Paid Plans

• Monthly: $11/month — unlimited stories, cancel anytime
• Gift — 3 Months: $33 one-time
• Gift — 6 Months: $66 one-time
• Gift — 9 Months: $99 one-time

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time from your account settings. Refunds are handled per our refund policy below.

Refund Policy

If you are unsatisfied, contact us within 14 days of purchase for a full refund. After 14 days, remaining subscription time will continue until the end of the billing period but will not renew.

4. Story Content

Stories are generated using personalization technology to create unique narratives featuring your child as the hero. Each story is created specifically for your family.

• Stories are designed to be age-appropriate for the selected age group
• Content promotes positive virtues such as courage, kindness, and curiosity
• Stories avoid violence, fear-inducing content, or themes inappropriate for children

Content ownership: You retain the right to read, share, and print stories created for your family. WonderTails retains the right to the underlying generation technology and illustration styles.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Create accounts for children without being their parent or legal guardian
• Use the Service to generate content for commercial redistribution
• Attempt to reverse-engineer the story generation system
• Circumvent age verification or parental consent mechanisms
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law

6. Account Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, all child data is deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy retention schedule.

7. Disclaimers

WonderTails is provided "as is." While we strive to generate high-quality, age-appropriate stories, we cannot guarantee that every generated story will meet every family's individual standards. Parents are encouraged to read stories with their children.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WonderTails' liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you by email of material changes at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
